Madame Frankenstein #7

From Image Comics, this penultimate chapter of Megan Levens and Jamie S. Rich's horror series puts its green-skinned creation front and center — sprawled on a slab, clutching a bloodied, electricity-crackling saw while towering laboratory machinery looms in the background. The raw menace of that gore-splattered blade against the cool blue arc of electricity makes for a genuinely unsettling image, and Levens's linework gives the creature a weary, dangerous intelligence that lingers. If you've been following this 2014 series, issue #7 promises the tension is far from over.
