Emi Lenox
Emi Lenox is an American cartoonist born and based in Portland, Oregon. She is best known for *EmiTown*, an autobiographical webcomic that Image Comics later collected into print. Lenox began her career as an artist and colorist, collaborating with Jeff Lemire on *Sweet Tooth* and with Mike Allred on *Madman*. Her most recent project, *Plutona*, is a five-issue miniseries co-created with Lemire and colorist Jordie Bellaire. Over a decade of activity (2011–2022), she has been credited as artist, colorist, inker, or writer on fifteen issues, with her most frequent credits on *Plutona*, *Glory*, *Black Hammer Giant-Sized Annual*, *Black Hammer: Streets of Spiral*, *Chew: Secret Agent Poyo*, and *Justice League*. Her style combines clean, expressive linework with a muted, atmospheric palette, often focusing on intimate character moments. Lenox’s work has earned her a dedicated following in the indie comics community, though she has not received major industry awards. She continues to live and work in Portland, contributing to both autobiographical and collaborative projects.
