Alison Sampson is a British artist, illustrator, and architect whose work in comics is distinguished by a strong architectural sense of composition and a particular affinity for supernatural and horror themes. Born in the United Kingdom, she came to comics from a background in architecture, a discipline that informs her precise, atmospheric page layouts and intricate backgrounds. She has worked across the major publishers, including Marvel, DC, Image, and Dark Horse, with her credits spanning *Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: 1957 – Fearful Symmetry*, *Wolverine*, and *Bloodlines*, as well as *Hit-Girl Season Two* and the adaptation of Stephen King’s *Sleeping Beauties*. Her most notable creator-owned work is the horror series *Winnebago Graveyard*, which she both wrote and illustrated, showcasing her ability to build dread through meticulous panel design.
