In Winnebago Graveyard #1, writer Steve Niles and artist Alison Sampson craft a tense, atmospheric tale of a family’s ill-fated road trip, as step-father Dan, teenage Bobby, and his mother Christie pull into a forgotten roadside carnival only to return and find their Winnebago vanished. The eerie stillness of the empty lot and the looming distance to the nearest town set a chilling tone, all rendered with sharp, grounded detail by Sampson’s art and Paitreau’s moody colors.
