Wise Son

Wise Son is a street-level DC character connected to the Milestone imprint's Dakota City milieu, appearing alongside Hardware and Static in stories rooted in urban African-American experience. He is associated with the Blood Syndicate, a gang of Bang Baby metahumans from Dakota City.

Emerging from DC's early-1990s Copper Age landscape, Wise Son made his debut in Guy Gardner #8 (1993), courtesy of creators Gerard Jones, Will Jacobs, and Joe Staton. Over nearly three decades of publication, he's woven himself through some of DC's most compelling corners, appearing across Guy Gardner, Hardware, and Static Shock!: Rebirth of the Cool — titles that speak to a rich, culturally resonant slice of the DC universe.
