Winston Gage
Winston Gage is a human character inhabiting Clive Barker's horror mythology, introduced in Marvel's comics expansion of the Hellraiser universe. He went on to become a central figure in The Harrowers, a group operating within the nightmarish world of Cenobites and the puzzle-box mythology.
Born into the dark, labyrinthine world of Clive Barker's horror mythology, Winston Gage made his debut in Clive Barker's Hellraiser #16 in 1992 — right at the intersection of the Copper and Modern Ages, when Marvel was boldly expanding Barker's visceral universe into comics form. Created by D. G. Chichester, Dan Lawlis, and John Rheaume, Gage went on to find his most significant footing in Clive Barker's The Harrowers, sharing that nightmarish corner of the Marvel/Barker cosmos with characters like Ron Ringwood, Lucinda Claire, and the ominously named Morte Mamme. With only nine catalog appearances across a relatively brief 1992–1994 window, he's a rare and atmospheric figure — exactly the kind of deep-cut discovery that makes hunting through Barker's comic mythology so rewarding for horror fans and completists alike.
