“Devil's Pawn”

In "Devil's Pawn," the fifth issue of Clive Barker's The Harrowers, Morte Mamme sends Winston and Vera on a perilous mission to retrieve a soul from Hell—only for Pinhead to twist the task, leading them back with a convicted serial killer and a Cenobite concealed in his wheelchair. With the Cenobite now armed with a forbidden incantation and the killer plotting his next move, the stakes rise in this chilling chapter of the series. Written by Malcolm Smith and brought to life with moody precision by Gene Colan (pencils), Al Williamson (inks), Tom Smith (colors), and Vickie Williams (letters), the issue's cover by Gene Colan and Randy Emberlin captures the dread of the unseen.
