A Golden Age original, Shorty made their debut in the pages of Adventure Comics #37 back in 1939, stepping into a DC Universe that was just beginning to find its footing. Over an extraordinary span stretching all the way to 1990, this character quietly persisted through comics history, sharing page space with some of the most iconic names the medium has ever produced — Superman, Lois Lane, Clark Kent, Wesley Dodds, and Zatara among them. With appearances across Adventure Comics, Superman, and The Superman Archives, Shorty is woven into the very fabric of DC's foundational era, and at least one of those appearances carries genuine key-issue significance for collectors.
