A supporting player born from the wonderfully weird Bronze Age Marvel universe Steve Gerber and Gene Colan built around everyone's favorite trapped-in-the-wrong-world waterfowl, Nurse Barbara made her debut in Howard the Duck #12 in 1977 — right in the thick of one of the most eccentric, satirical runs the Bronze Age had to offer. Her small but memorable place in that story puts her in extraordinary company: Howard himself, the enigmatic Daimon Hellstrom, and the beloved Winda Wester all share her pages.
