Needlenose

Needlenose is a Decepticon Transformer who debuted near the end of Marvel's original Transformers run. A jet-mode warrior, he joined the ongoing Autobot-Decepticon conflict during one of the series' most turbulent periods.

Needlenose roared onto the scene in 1990, debuting in the pages of Marvel's The Transformers #62 — a Copper Age arrival courtesy of the legendary creative team of Simon Furman and Geoff Senior, right as that landmark series was building toward its dramatic conclusion. Sharing the battlefield with titans like Optimus Prime, Jazz, Bumblebee, and even the world-devouring Unicron, Needlenose entered the mythology at one of its most charged moments. Though appearances in the catalog are select rather than sprawling, their presence across collected editions like the Transformers Compendium ensures this character remains part of the enduring record — a genuine piece of Transformers history for the dedicated completist.
