Who is "Nameless"?

A mystery figure born in the heart of DC's Silver Age, "Nameless" stepped onto the scene in Metal Men #18 (1966), immediately earning a place among one of the era's most inventive and offbeat corners of the DC universe. With a run touching both Metal Men and The Brave and the Bold, this character shares pages with the likes of Gold, Mercury, Iron, Lead, and Tin — as distinctive a roster as Silver Age DC had to offer. Ten appearances may be a compact legacy, but in comics, the right moment in the right book can leave a lasting impression, and a character mysterious enough to go simply by "Nameless" in that wonderfully imaginative mid-'60s landscape has a certain undeniable intrigue all their own.
