Maelstrom is a Marvel villain who debuted in 1981, the half-Inhuman, half-Deviant offspring of the Inhuman geneticist Phaeder and a Deviant woman. Driven by a hunger for cosmic power, he became a dangerous enemy to Earth's heroes.
