Linda Lee
Linda Lee is the secret human alias adopted by Kara Zor-El, Superman's Kryptonian cousin, when she arrives on Earth. Posing as an orphan at Midvale Orphanage, she uses the identity to conceal her existence as Supergirl until Superman deems the world ready to know she exists.
Stepping out of the Silver Age in 1959, Linda Lee made her debut in the pages of Action Comics #256 β brought to life by the legendary team of Otto Binder and Curt Swan β and has been part of DC's tapestry ever since. Across a remarkable span stretching all the way to 2025, she's graced titles like Action Comics, Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane, and The Best of DC, keeping company with some of the publisher's most iconic figures: Clark Kent, Superman, Lois Lane, Perry White, and Supergirl herself. With two key collector issues among her appearances, Linda Lee is more than a footnote β she's a genuine piece of Silver Age history, the kind of character that rewards the curious reader who digs deeper into the rich, imaginative world DC was building in those wonderfully ambitious early decades.
