A creature of the Modern Age Marvel universe, Joelle made her entrance in the very first issue of the 2012 Gambit solo series — a debut about as well-positioned as it gets, launched alongside the Ragin' Cajun himself by the creative team of James Asmus and Clay Mann. Her six appearances keep her in genuinely charged company, sharing pages with Remy LeBeau and the imposing Tombstone among others. She may be a compact presence in the catalog, but any character woven into the fabric of a Gambit launch issue carries a certain undeniable cool-factor worth a second look.
