Glorian
Apprentice to the Shaper of Worlds, Glorian inherited his master's extraordinary ability to reshape reality and make dreams tangible. He wanders the cosmos as a benevolent figure, using his reality-altering gifts to bring hope and imagination to life for those he encounters.
Few characters capture the dreamy, cosmic ambition of Bronze Age Marvel quite like Glorian, who stepped onto the scene in the pages of The Incredible Hulk #190 in 1975, conjured by the remarkable trio of Len Wein, Herb Trimpe, and Marie Severin. Over nearly five decades β from that mid-seventies debut all the way through to 2022 β this Marvel figure has woven through some wonderfully eclectic corners of the universe, turning up in titles as varied as Avataars: Covenant of the Shield and the recent Defenders: Beyond, sharing adventures alongside the likes of Bruce Banner and Joe Fixit. Fourteen appearances may sound modest, but for a character with this kind of range across eras, that's the mark of someone the Marvel cosmos keeps finding reasons to revisit β a quiet cult gem well worth seeking out.
