Don Uggie Apelino is a gangster ape character from the early pages of 2000 AD, appearing in humorous crime-parody strips set in Mega-City One's underworld alongside other Judge Dredd universe regulars.

A Bronze Age original from the pages of 2000 AD, Don Uggie Apelino made his debut in issue #39 back in 1977, conjured up by the legendary partnership of John Wagner and Mike McMahon during one of British comics' most gloriously anarchic eras. Fleetway's flagship anthology was already a phenomenon, and Don Uggie carved out a niche within it — sharing those wild, inventive pages with the likes of Judge Dredd and the wonderfully named Walter the Wobot and Joe Bananas.
