Brother Voodoo
Jericho Drumm is a Haitian-American psychiatrist who returns to Haiti and is trained in the mystic arts of voodoo, eventually bonding with the spirit of his deceased twin brother Daniel to become Brother Voodoo, a powerful houngan and Marvel's foremost practitioner of voodoo magic.
Few Marvel characters made an entrance quite like Brother Voodoo, who burst onto the Bronze Age scene in Strange Tales #169 in 1973, conjured into existence by the formidable creative team of Len Wein, Roy Thomas, and Gene Colan. A bold, distinctive presence in Marvel's mystical corner, he's spent nearly five decades weaving through the publisher's most arcane titles β from Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme to Captain Marvel and even the gothic pages of Dracula Lives β keeping remarkable company with sorcerers, spirits, and the supernatural. Four of his appearances carry key-issue status, a testament to the collector significance this character has quietly accumulated over the years. If you're drawn to Marvel's stranger, more mystical side, Brother Voodoo is absolutely worth seeking out.
