Betta George is a telepathic fish — with attitude to spare — who exists within IDW's continuation of the Angel television universe, using his psychic abilities to hold his own alongside supernatural heavy-hitters like Angel, Spike, and Illyria.

A telepathic fish with serious attitude, Betta George swam into comics in 2008 courtesy of creators Chris Ryall and Chris Mowry, making a splashy Modern Age debut in IDW's Angel: After the Fall #5. Part of the rich expanded universe built around the beloved TV mythology, this decidedly unconventional character holds their own sharing pages with heavy-hitters like Angel, Spike, Illyria, Willow Rosenberg, and Charles Gunn. With appearances spread across both Angel: After the Fall and Spike, Betta George is a genuine cult gem — proof that IDW's Buffyverse comics weren't afraid to get wonderfully weird.
