Spike #6

The closing chapter of IDW's Spike solo series arrives with issue #6, "Part Six: Something Borrowed," written by Brian Lynch with art by Stephen Mooney. Nick Runge's cover presents the platinum-blond vampire front and center, his expression guarded and intense, while a red-haired woman rests close behind him — the two figures framed against a dramatic burst of warm, fractured light that gives the whole image a charged, bittersweet atmosphere. It's a fitting visual note to end on for this 2011 run, capturing the complicated tension that has defined Spike's world throughout this series.
