Aphrodite
Aphrodite is the Olympian goddess of love appearing in Marvel's mythology-driven stories. As a member of the divine Olympian pantheon, she interacts regularly with figures such as Hercules, Zeus, and Ares.
Few characters can claim roots stretching all the way back to the Golden Age, but this Aphrodite β the goddess of love herself as rendered in Marvel's mythology-rich corners of the universe β made her comics debut in Wonder Woman #2 in 1942, brought to life by Alice Marble. Across more than eight decades she has kept extraordinary company, sharing pages with the likes of Ares, Hercules, Zeus, Logan, and even Spider-Man, turning up most prominently in Incredible Hercules and the delightfully pulpy Wolverine / Hercules: Myths, Monsters & Mutants. With a key issue already to her name and appearances stretching into 2025 alongside Miles Morales, she's a figure whose longevity speaks for itself β a divine presence woven into Marvel's tapestry since comics were still in their infancy.
