Zot!

Scott McCloud, the creator of Understanding Comics, returned to his acclaimed 1980s series Zot! for a short but potent three-issue revival at Kitchen Sink Press. Teaming with collaborators Ivy Ratafia and Kurt Busiek, McCloud revisited his optimistic, manga-influenced universe of parallel Earths and teenage heroes. This 1997–1998 run stands as a thoughtful coda to a series that helped bridge indie sensibilities with superhero adventure.
