About the series
Brian K. Vaughan and artist Pia Guerra launched this acclaimed DC series in 2002, a post-apocalyptic epic in which a mysterious plague instantly kills every mammal with a Y chromosome except for Yorick Brown and his pet monkey, Ampersand. Spanning 60 issues, the story follows Yorick, the enigmatic Agent 355, and geneticist Dr. Allison Mann across a world remade by the absence of half its population. With later art from Goran Sudžuka and Goran Parlov, the series remains a landmark of speculative fiction, weaving political, social, and personal stakes into a taut, character-driven thriller.
