About the series
This 2013–2017 DC series redefined Wonder Woman by grounding her in a sprawling, family-driven mythos. Under Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang, the book recast Diana as the daughter of Hippolyta and Zeus, embroiling her in a violent, political struggle among the gods of Olympus. Later, Greg Rucka and Liam Sharp brought a more introspective, espionage-tinged tone, exploring Diana’s role as a bridge between the worlds of man and myth. Its bold reinvention of the character’s origins and supporting cast made it a defining, if controversial, run for the Amazon.
