About the series
Between 1950 and 1954, Dell Comics published five issues of Walt Disney's Vacation Parade, a seasonal anthology series anchored by Donald Duck. The book is most notable for Carl Barks’s contributions as both writer and artist, delivering some of his finest duck stories within its pages. Artists Bill Wright and Dick Hall also brought their clean, lively style to the series, making it a charming snapshot of mid-century Disney comics. Though short-lived, Vacation Parade remains a treasured showcase for Barks’s storytelling and the warm, humorous adventures of its feathered star.
