Voltron

In the mid-1980s, Modern Comics adapted the animated Voltron saga into a three-issue comic series, teaming writers Henry Vogel and Mark Lerer with artists Dick Ayers and Chuck Wojtkiewicz. The series pitted the heroic pilots Keith, Hunk, and their allies—including the royal advisor Coran—against the villainous King Zarkon and the witch Haggar, with a surprising guest appearance by John Rambo. Though brief, this series captured the robot-combat excitement of the original show during the peak of Voltron's pop-culture popularity.
