Venom

A short-lived but essential 11-issue series from Panini France, Venom (1997–1998) gave the fan-favorite symbiote antihero his own spotlight during the height of the 1990s, with a rotating creative team led by writers Larry Hama, Howard Mackie, and Bruce Jones, and artists including Greg Luzniak, Joe St. Pierre, and Tom Grindberg. The series explored Venom’s brutal, morally gray adventures, distinct from the main Marvel Universe, and helped solidify his status as a standalone character beyond Spider-Man’s shadow.
