About the series
In this 2003–2004 Marvel miniseries, writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Trevor Hairsine pit the newly-formed Ultimates—Captain America, Clint Barton, and Black Widow—against a super-powered strike force of classic foes, including Electro, Doctor Octopus, and Flint Marko. Set within the early, gritty era of the Ultimate Universe, the seven-issue story explores the fallout of capturing these villains and the moral compromises that come with containing them.
