About the series
Keith Giffen launched Trencher in 1993 for Image Comics, a four-issue series he wrote and illustrated. It follows the misadventures of the titular hero, a cynical, trenchcoat-clad monster hunter, alongside a cast including SuperPatriot, Johnny Armstrong, Barney Runningbear, Dart, and Ann Stevens. A darkly comedic, early-Image supernatural action title, it showcases Giffen's signature blend of offbeat humor and bombastic storytelling.
