About the series
A five-issue Charlton Comics series launched in 1967, The Peacemaker was a short-lived but memorable entry in the publisher's stable of costumed heroes. Written primarily by Joe Gill with art by Pat Boyette and Bill Montes, the series introduced a masked vigilante who used non-lethal methods to combat injustice. Though its original run was brief, the character's distinctive design and premise later found new life when DC Comics acquired Charlton's heroes, making this original series a foundational piece of a larger legacy.
