About the series
In 1989, Innovation Comics revived the cult-favorite team with The New Justice Machine Mini-Series, a three-issue run written by Mark Ellis and David Lawrence. Illustrated by a rotating team of Darryl Banks, Stan Timmons, and Mark Jones, this short-lived series updated the super-group for a new era, bridging the gap between their earlier indie origins and later appearances. It’s a compact, character-driven snapshot of late-’80s superhero storytelling from a small press that championed creator-owned properties.
