Tank Girl

Launched by Dark Horse in 1991, Tank Girl is a four-issue blast of punk-rock anarchy from co-creators Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett. The series follows the titular, foul-mouthed antihero and her mutant kangaroo boyfriend Booga through a post-apocalyptic Australian wasteland, blending absurdist humor, wild art, and a defiantly chaotic energy. Hewlett’s distinctive, graffiti-influenced visuals and Martin’s irreverent scripts made this a defining cult hit of the early '90s alternative comics scene.
