About the series
In this 2011–2012 DC series, the teenage superhero Static—alter ego of Virgil Hawkins—returns for an eight-issue run that reconnects him with his family, including his father Robert and sister Sharon, while teaming up with the tech-savvy hero Hardware (Curtis Metcalf). Written primarily by Scott McDaniel, John Rozum, and Marc Bernardin, with McDaniel also handling the art, the series grounds Static’s high-voltage adventures in a more mature, street-level tone.
