About the series
A long-running but infrequently published pulp hero series from the Chesler/Dynamic line, Star Ranger began in 1937 and follows the space-faring adventures of its titular lawman across the cosmos. The series is most closely associated with writer-artist Dick Ryan, who was joined by regular contributors Richard Speed, Will Harr, and Fred Guardineer during its six-issue run. Though short on issues, it stands as an early, foundational example of the comic-book space opera genre, blending frontier justice with futuristic science fiction.
