Stålmannen

The Swedish Stålmannen series, published by Serieforlaget, Se-Bladene, and Stabenfeldt from 1952 to 1954, offered a compact 25-issue run of Superman adventures tailored for a Nordic audience. Primarily written and painted by Henry Boltinoff (sometimes signing as "Siling"), with contributions from artist Nils Egerbrandt, these issues presented classic Man of Steel stories in a distinctive translated format. While it didn't introduce original lore, the series stands as a notable early example of international superhero licensing, bringing the iconic hero to Swedish readers during the Golden Age of comics.
