About the series
In the mid-1990s, Marvel launched Spider-Man Unlimited as a quarterly anthology series that gave creators room to tell ambitious, off-beat Spider-Man stories outside the main monthly titles. Tom DeFalco, Mark Bernardo, and Christopher Golden handled the bulk of the writing, while artists like Joe Bennett, Ron Lim, and Mike Deodato Jr. brought a mix of dynamic, stylized visuals to the book. The series focused on Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson-Parker, and the wall-crawler himself, often pitting them against unusual threats or exploring alternate takes on the mythos.
