About the series
In this short-lived but distinctive 1970s DC series, writer Robert Kanigher and artists including Joe Kubert and Curt Swan introduced a supernatural vigilante who draws his power from the souls of the damned. Clad in a patchwork costume of mystical rags, the Ragman stalks the streets of Gotham City, seeking redemption through a dark and violent crusade. Though only five issues were published, the series left a lasting impression with its moody, morally complex storytelling and striking visuals.
