Pulserande metal

An experimental, four-issue comic series launched in 1984, Pulserande metal is the Swedish-language edition of the legendary science-fiction anthology Métal Hurlant. Primarily associated with the visionary French artist and writer Moebius, who contributed both art and stories alongside writer Dan O'Bannon, the series brought a curated selection of the magazine's groundbreaking, surreal, and adult-oriented sci-fi and fantasy to a new audience. Its concise run matters as a key artifact of the global spread of the "heavy metal" aesthetic, preserving some of the most influential work of the European bande dessinée movement in a unique national edition.
