About the series
In 1983–1984, DC Comics published a three-issue miniseries based on the short-lived Power Lords action figure line, written by Michael Fleisher with striking art by Mark Texeira. The story follows a group of heroic aliens, including the golden-skinned leader Raygoth, as they battle the sinister forces of Lord Grol and his monstrous minions across a strange, otherworldly landscape. Though the toy line faded quickly, this comic stands as a vivid, early-80s example of DC’s willingness to adapt multimedia properties into its superhero universe, with Texeira’s dynamic, shadow-drenched visuals giving it a distinctive pulp-sci-fi edge.
