Power Lords #2

The second chapter of DC's 1984 mini-series drops Adam Power into dire straits — the cover proclaims "Prepare to Witness the Death of Adam Power!" as the glowing, orange-suited hero stands his ground against creeping green tentacles, a looming alien craft, and a skull-faced threat overhead. At his side, a reptilian alien ally defiantly declares "Not if I can help it!", while a caped blue-skinned figure charges in from the left. Cover art by Mark Texeira and Tod Smith sets the stakes perfectly for "The Dimension of Doom!" — an ominous title that delivers exactly the wild, otherworldly energy fans of the Power Lords toy line were hoping to see on the comics page.
