Plastic Man
DC · 1988–1989 · 4 issues
About the series
In the late 1980s, DC Comics revived its stretchy, wisecracking original hero with a short, four-issue series that leaned into surreal humor and offbeat art. Written and drawn by a rotating team including Phil Foglio, Doug Rice, and Hilary Barta, this run saw Eel O'Brian—better known as Plastic Man—and his pal Woozy Winks tangle with crimes and capers that matched the character's rubbery, freewheeling nature. It’s a cult-favorite, creator-driven take that captures the playful, anarchic spirit of the Golden Age original.
