About the series
In the epic 111-issue run of 美味しんぼ (Oishinbo), published by Shogakukan from 1984 to 2014, creator Tetsu Kariya and illustrator Akira Hanasaki crafted a landmark culinary manga that follows the passionate, competitive world of food journalist Yamaoka Shiro and his colleagues at the Tōzai News.
