About the series
In 2002, Jay Faerber and Ian Richardson launched Noble Causes: Family Secrets at Image Comics, a four-issue miniseries that introduced the Noble family—a wealthy, celebrity super-powered clan whose public heroism masks private dysfunction. The story centers on Gaia, Krennick, Zephyr, Doc, Liz Donnelly-Noble, and Rusty Noble as they navigate tangled relationships and hidden agendas. This series planted the seed for Faerber's long-running exploration of superheroes as a soap opera, blending caped action with family drama in a way that felt fresh for the early 2000s indie scene.
