About the series
In 1954, publisher Stanley Morse launched Mutiny, a short-lived three-issue comic series that rode the wave of mid-century war and adventure tales. The series is most closely associated with artist Eugene Hughes, whose gritty, dynamic illustrations defined its brief run. Though it only lasted a year, Mutiny offers a snapshot of the era's pulp-inspired, action-driven storytelling before the industry's shift toward the Comics Code.
