"Mutiny" chronicles a seafaring conflict where armed wreckers engage unsuspecting merchant sailors in combat, with the battle ending nearly before it begins. The wreckers load long boats with plundered cargo and set the freighter ablaze, driving it toward the beach as a scene of modern-day piracy. When the captain places the crew on half rations and refuses to explain his decision, tensions aboard the ship escalate as the men question his authority and one sailor incites the others to mutiny, declaring "Let's do something about it—let's mutiny! Are we or are we slaves?"

Contains 4 stories
Shanghaied
5 pp

Captain Mutiny deliberately allows himself to be shanghaied aboard a ship crewed by ruthless press-gangs, planning to expose the operation from within. With his first mate Redbeard working from the outside, Mutiny must endure a brutal week at sea while secretly organizing the kidnapped sailors for a coordinated strike—all while the Coast Guard closes in on what they believe is his own criminal enterprise. It's a high-stakes gamble where the captain trades his freedom to dismantle a waterfront evil and clear his name.

The Wreckers!
8 pp

A devastating storm drives a helpless freighter toward what appears to be a safe harbor, but the captain soon discovers the guiding lights mark a deadly trap—the buoys have been moved to steer his ship directly onto jagged rocks. As the vessel tears apart and the captain fights to save his crew and cargo, mysterious rescuers arrive in long boats, but their true intentions prove far more sinister than salvation in this tale of ruthless wreckers led by Barrios.

Mutiny!
6 pp

Captain Mutiny and his mate Redbeard witness a brutal wreck crew in action and infiltrate their gang to stop them—but shutting down Barrios and his cutthroats proves trickier than expected. After earning their trust through a deadly knife fight, the pair work undercover to learn the wreckers' methods, then execute a daring plan to redirect an approaching ship away from the razor-sharp reefs where Barrios sets his traps. When the long boats close in for the attack, they find the tables turned and the gang facing down Captain Mutiny's crew instead.

Shark Bait
6 pp

Pearl divers Rod Hammond and Tony Leech work the tropical waters together, but when Rod decides it's time to leave the islands and return home with his sweetheart Gloria, his jealous partner has other plans—namely, keeping him trapped there by any means necessary. When Tony discovers a fortune in black pearls guarded by a massive tiger shark in the oyster beds, he devises a deadly scheme to eliminate his rival and claim both the treasure and the girl for himself. What Tony doesn't account for, however, is how the ocean's predators respond to the scent of blood in the water.
