Miss Fury
Marvel · 1942–1945 · 8 issues
About the series
An early, self-syndicated newspaper strip turned comic book series, Miss Fury ran for eight issues from 1942 to 1945 under the Marvel imprint. Writer-artist Tarpé Mills created and chronicled the adventures of socialite Marla Drake, who dons a black catsuit to fight crime as the title character. As one of the first superheroines created and drawn by a woman, the series stands as a landmark of Golden Age comics.
