About the series
From 1949 to 2010, Dupuis published Lucky Luke, a long-running Franco-Belgian comic series created and primarily drawn by Morris. Often written by René Goscinny, the series follows the misadventures of a lone, fast-shooting cowboy and his trusty horse Jolly Jumper as they roam the American Wild West. Spanning 31 issues, it became a cornerstone of European comics for its gentle satire of Western tropes and its enduring, lighthearted humor.
