About the series
In 1992, DC Comics unleashed Lobo's Back, a four-issue miniseries that brought the irreverent, cigar-chomping bounty hunter back to the forefront of the publisher's cosmic chaos. Written by Alan Grant and Keith Giffen, with Giffen joined by Simon Bisley and Christian Alamy on art, the series leaned hard into over-the-top violence and dark humor, cementing Lobo as a cult-favorite antihero. While the story is a standalone romp, its creative team’s signature blend of bombast and satire made it a defining moment for the character in the early ’90s.
