About the series
Ace Periodicals planned a second volume of their Golden Age superhero title, but "Lightning Comics v2" never made it to newsstands — this is a phantom series, announced but ultimately unpublished, with no issues released. As a relic of the shifting post-war comic market, it represents one of the many cancelled revivals that formed the ragged tail of the 1940s boom.
