Arédit-Artima’s L’Inattendu (1975–1980) was a 25-issue French anthology series that repackaged American superhero tales for a new audience, most frequently featuring the work of writers Frank Springer, Gary Friedrich, and Stan Lee, alongside artists like Jack Kirby and George Tuska. Its recurring lineup centered on T’Challa, the Black Panther, alongside Pantherman, Monica Lynne, Luke Cage, Taku, and Erik Killmonger, offering French readers a curated introduction to these characters during the Bronze Age.
