About the series
In this 1993 DC miniseries, writer Tom Veitch and artist Frank Gomez reimagine Jack Kirby's Kamandi concept, plunging the last boy on Earth into a new, post-apocalyptic nightmare. Picking up from the original series' end, Kamandi navigates a world where animals rule and humanity is all but extinct, facing bizarre mutations and warring factions. This six-issue run stands as a dark, early-'90s revisitation of Kirby's classic, notable for Gomez's visceral artwork and Veitch's expansion of the Kamandi mythos.
